Outlook Web Access (OWA) Features

OWA allows users to access their email via most desktops using Microsoft Explorer (5.5 or later) in addition to the features above you get:
Web access to users e-mail using 128 bit encryption (Non CA Certificate)
Web access to users calendar, contacts, tasks & notes using 128 bit encryption (Non CA Certificate)
Web access to public folders for shared information such as mail, contacts, calendar, files etc.
Web access to out of office response
Web access to server based Inbox e-mail rules to organise e-mail
Online spell check
Reminder pop ups for tasks & appointments

Native Outlook Client Access
All the features of OWA are included in the native Outlook Client. In addition it offers users a fully synchronised local copy of their e-mail box on their local PC or laptop to allow access when the network access to the Hosted Exchange server is unavailable, e.g. while travelling on a plane.

Further features include:
Local Synchronised copy of the user’s mailbox data for offline access
Access to local PST email files allows archival & data management of non exchange email
Access to other users mailboxes in the same client (great for PA access)
Manage permissions for other mail users to access your mail file

NB: Outlook 2003 license or greater is required and is not included. Clients using Office 2003 already own it.

Mobile Device Access
Microsoft Exchange has native support for most Windows Mobile devices (Pocket PC Mobile 5 or greater). These devices allow mail, contacts & appointments to be automatically synchronised to & from your device using any wireless IP network such as Wifi, 3G or GPRS. In addition Nokia E Series devices also natively supported with use of the Nokia Mail for Exchange.

Optional Features:
SMS gateway using the TELSTRA Online SMS service TM (requires Telstra mobile account)
Fax gateway to send & receive all your faxes
CA Authority SSL encryption using Thawte or Verisign
Licensing is treated in the same way as Outlook Web Access.
